Yesterday most of the group got on the coast bus and headed to Monaco. Who of my generation doesn't remember the first famous princess, Princess Grace? This is her country. This little city is the smallest monarchy in the world and because of their enormous tourist industry those that actually live there don't have to pay any taxes.
Everyone was pretty excited about going to the beach.
This is the view from the bus window. All those sailboats!! All that money!!
Sarah, this is how you convince Landon to bring you to France. The cars in Monaco are amazing! Kids in my group came home with beaucoup pictures just of cars!
Brittany likes to call these pictures of the three of us "family photos." Here we are at the Monte Carlo Casino!
Three things to look at in this picture:
1. One of the attractions to Monaco is that they have sand beaches compared with the ones that are a bit more rocky in Nice.
2. I think those mountains look a lot like Utah mountains, which would make this the perfect place for me and Jim to live; beach and mountains together!
3. This city makes Honolulu look positively rural. They have packed more hotels in a small place then you can imagine!
Everyone turns their backs on all that and heads for the water!
These make Lake Powell look pretty ghetto!
I don't even know what this is, but it's cool!
And, my roofs! Always!
